I love doing Healthy QiGong with Emily. When starting her class, which was about a year ago, I had never tried QiGong before, but very quickly decided to carry on. Emily is a wonderful teacher - warm and friendly, she explains the movements clearly, and with such striking imagery. She makes you feel very at ease, and explains QiGong in a way that feels accessible. For an hour each week, time slows down and I am transported to another land.

I have been attending Emily's classes for nearly two years and find her approach to be thoroughly inclusive, sensitive, and thoughtful. Our weekly Qi Gong sessions focus on gentle but focussed movements that combine to promote strength, flexibility and balance- movements that are easy to import into your own life. The hidden benefit for me comes from the mental concentration, the soft controlled breathing, and the mindful meditative awareness. Qi Gong could just be the perfect exercise for health and wellbeing!

We all have our own unique experience of Qigong. No two classes are the same and everyone brings their own special energy to the class. The words below touched me greatly, as they are a testament to the power of this wonderful practice.
“I love the way the classes flow. We all settle into the breath-work and as we become grounded a feeling of deep relaxation connects us with you and everyone else present. As we then move on to the forms, we become energised and the chi begins to flow! It’s a divine and rewarding experience. So much more than just exercise, movement or meditation. I often describe it as ‘meditation in motion’.
The classes make me feel refreshed, relaxed and full of vitality. My mobility improves remarkably and the next day I wake feeling like everything is in its right place. I can move with ease and intention after doing Qigong with you.
I have seen huge improvements since commencing Qigong with you, Emily. When I started, I didn’t have a full range of movement in my arms and shoulders. My right arm was swollen with lymphoedema. I couldn’t feel my fingers and toes. My feet were painful (I felt like I’d just walked 20 miles every single day) and I had little stability, balance or flexibility in my feet and legs.
Now my feet barely hurt and I can balance on my toes and move freely. Most of the feeling has returned to my hands and fingers. I have a full range of motion in my arms and shoulders. The lymphoedema in my arm has settled and there is zero fluid in my hands.
All of the above has hastened and enriched my healing journey. I feel calm and well after practising Qigong with you and this carries over into the days in between. My mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being have been greatly nourished through your Qigong classes

When I first started, I found it difficult to ‘quieten’ myself and my mind during the class. I wasn’t used to slow movements or breath-work; to me, exercise had always meant working the body hard and huffing and puffing! How enriching it has been to discover that the meditative movements and process of Qigong can transform one’s health and well-being in the most positive way.
The limited mobility I brought to my first Qigong class has been transformed into a flexible and strong physicality. I am now calm and focussed in my daily life due to the tranquility I experience through the practice of Qigong.
Emily is a brilliant teacher who enriches the practice of Qigong for every student. She makes it completely accessible, for all members of the class, whatever their level.
