Meet your teacher
Iām Emily, a Qigong teacher, who teaches classes in and around the beautiful city of Bath. My teaching embodies the three Qigong principles:
Listen to your body
Do no harm
Less is more
My own journey with Qigong has been one of healing and transformation. It was my experience of long covid that led me to Qigong. I was looking for a gentle form of exercise that would not leave me feeling exhausted. What I discovered is that Qigong is far, far more than just exercise. It helped me to heal. Not only did it not leave me feeling depleted, it actually left me feeling more energised. Qigong encouraged me to look at all aspects of my life and make big changes.
I undertook a 6 month initial teacher training course, with the idea that I would learn more and possibly teach some classes in my spare time. I became hooked, and when I saw that the amazing Kseny Gray was offering a 1 year course I signed up. This decision changed my life. I gave up the day job and started my business Healthy Qigong in Bath. I now have a full timetable teaching in community halls, health clubs, gyms, care homes, retirement communities, parks, on retreats, company away days and on-line.
And the best thing about my new job is being able to share this wonderful practice with others. I have met so many lovely people through my classes, I am so grateful to everyone, for showing up, giving something new a try, bringing their friends, and sharing their positive energy.
